green_pillsRepeat Prescriptions

If you are on regular on-going medications, your doctor and you will agree how many more issues you can get before you need to touch base again. This is the repeat prescribing system.

Repeat prescriptions must be requested in writing 2 working days (*48 hours) before you need to collect it.  We cannot deal with requests for immediate medication without an appointment with a doctor. Please help us by planning ahead.

*Please note that the 48 hour turnaround excludes bank holidays & weekends.

Pharmacy Collection Service

Some pharmacists offer services to collect or receive repeat prescriptions direct from us on your behalf for dispensing. They will also deliver medication to your home and can supply them packed in reminder packs which allow you to remember medication dosages and timings.

If you arrange to have any of these services from a pharmacist, the practice must have written confirmation of your permission for the practice to give the prescription straight to the pharmacy of your choice including the name, address and telephone number of the pharmacy. Forms for this purpose are available in reception.
